Directly from the Walt Disney Media Center, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was not listed in the August slate of movies, TV shows and documentaries for Disney+. Both The Walt Disney Company and Marvel Entertainment have yet to announce a new release date.
The production was hindered due to the state of the world, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was originally scheduled to release on Disney+ in August. The six-part series takes place after the event of Avengers Endgame. It will be the first streaming Live-Action TV show made by Marvel Studios, it will dive into the core of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show leading roles are Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie as Falcon) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan as Winter Solider). Exploring Sam Wilson and Bucky's stories and witness his road to the new Captain America, together against the common challenges posted by Baron Helmut Zemo (played by Daniel Brühl) and US Agent (Wyatt Russell). Emily VanCamp will return as Sharon Carter.
The next two series WandaVision (December 2020) and Loki (Early 2021) are also interconnected and heavily involved in the MCU timeline. Kevin Feige has teased that these series will bring supporting characters into the spotlight to lead or introduce new characters. More info coming in the future. Don't forget Marvel's "What If...", "Fury Files", "Hawkeye", "She-Hulk", "Moon Knight" and "Ms. Marvel" as announced in 2019 D23 Expo.
