Experiment 627
- First appeared in “Lilo & Stitch: The Series”, episode 19 (titled “627”).
- Experiment 627 was created with all the strengths of Stitch (Experiment 626) but without his weaknesses. He is immune to water and cannot be easily turned good.
- He possesses the powers of 20 different experiments combined.
- 627's appearance is noticeably different from Stitch: he has a longer, cone-shaped head, red fur, lighter tan fur on his belly and chest, a tuft of brown hair on his back, a purple nose, black eyes, and long ears that point upwards.
- His major weakness is his extreme sense of humor—he can’t stop laughing at even the smallest joke.
- This flaw ultimately led to his failure during the mission, and he was reverted back into an “Experiment Pod” by Lilo using a home food dehydrator.
Experiment 628
- First appeared at the end of “Lilo & Stitch: The Series” episode 19 (“627”), in “Experiment Pod” form only.
- Never activated or hydrated.
- The physical appearance of Experiment 628 remains unknown.
Experiment 629
- First appeared in the Lilo & Stitch TV animated movie “Leroy & Stitch”.
- Created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba under pressure from Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel, directly in the lab and activated without using a hydration “Experiment Pod”.
- Upon activation, Dr. Hämsterviel named him “Leroy”.
- Leroy’s main weakness is the Hawaiian song “Aloha ʻOe”, which triggers his internal “fail-safe” shutdown mechanism in the movie.
Fun Fact: Leroy was once mislabeled as "628" in early Japanese and Disneyland Paris merchandise. Due to the mystery surrounding Experiment 628’s non-activation, his number remained a fan debate for years. However, in June 2020, the official Japanese manga “Stitch and the Samurai” finally confirmed him as “Experiment 629”. Most recently, Disney further solidified this on May 22, 2025 by labeling him as “629” in the official “Stitch 626 - Experiments Mystery Set” at Walt Disney World’s Pin Trading Night — officially putting the debate to rest.
